Noch mehr E-Books: Der globale E-Commerce-Branchenprimus und Elektro-Buch-Pionier Amazon will noch mehr Bücher auf das Apple iPhone bringen und übernimmt daher das Startup Lexcycle. Lexcycle hat die E-Book-Software Stanza entwickelt, die als deutlich besser gilt ist als die hauseigene Amazon-Kindle-App (“Kindle for iPhone and iPod touch”) für das Apple iPhone und bereits 1,5 Millionen Digi-Schmökerfans in ihren Bann gezogen hat.
Damit scheint zusammen zu kommen, was zusammen gehört: Das umfassende Content-Kindle-Archiv mit der derzeit wohl besten E-Book-Software für das Apple iPhone. Mehr als 240.000 elektronische Bücher können iPhone- und iPod-User seit Anfang März mit der “Kindle for iPhone and iPod touch”-App über ihre mobilen Apple-Gadgets lesen.
Lexcycle verspricht unterdessen im offiziellen Firmen-Blog, dass es im Zuge der Übernahme, keine signifikanten Änderungen an der E-Buch-Software geben wird.
